I decided to move blogger-beginner-guide.blogspot.com to a self hosted custom domain beginner-blogger.com because it was a bit pointless having both blogs and updating neither. Funnily enough as I was going through the process of moving, Google was doing its own updating of page rank, so my PR0 Blogspot was updated to a PR2 just as I moved it to this site which is a PR 1. I am not sure how this will change or not but it will be interesting to see. I know PR does not necessarily count for much but I would like to see how combining a PR1 and PR2 site works out.
Anyway now I have a really ugly looking redirect page from blogspot directing my traffic to here, you can check it out in the link above. The move did not go smoothly and if you are thinking of doing this but are not sure how, then I recommend that you do a bit of research first. It is not as straight forward as it seems and while it is not difficult, not everything transfers well. Always make a back up of all your work.
I have been fairly busy both online and off over the last few months, I have spent quite a lot of time learning and implementing SEO and keywords so hopefully I have quite a few posts to share over the next while. I have pretty much given up on social marketing because it never really paid off although I did learn a lot much of which is what not to do.
The road to make money blogging is not an easy one but it is do able although there is an awful lot of junk online that will try and sell you on ways that just won’t work.
Over the next while I will be sharing what I have learned and updating older posts to reflect more accurately on what you should do, some post should be disregarded entirely. To start you off, if you are really interested in making money with blogs then this is what you really need:

- Fancy SEO software
- Gurus
Making money from your blog or site does not need to cost money, I will recommend one purchase later on but its optional, you can do without it, you will do better with it but you can make money online without spending anything.
