Its already day 61 of my make money blogging experiment and I just want to point out at this stage that this experiment is not testing the methods taught at the keyword academy, I have no doubt that they work and work well, but rather the new postrunner system for guest posting on other blogs that will accept quality article submissions in return for a one way link to your site.
So 30 days later and I have yet to really talk about the money part of my experiment, how much it has cost me so far or how much I have earned from this site so I will quickly run through the usual report on indexed pages etc and move on to the money part.

Rankings for my wordpress blog.
I will admit here that I didn’t finish all my articles either this month, due to family commitments and a very busy schedule, excuses I know! But I did get more done than last month and I have to say that writing all the content instead of outsourcing is getting tiresome, there is only so much I can find myself writing about this one subject over and over in different contexts. Anyway so far..
30 days ago: ”The site still has 5 posts and 1 page (I plan on adding at least 3 more posts this month) which results in 36 pages indexed in google, 12 more pages than two weeks ago.”
The site still has the same amount of posts, however I updated the theme instead to bring it more in line with what google wants to see from adsense publishers. There are now 57 pages indexed, which is ok, but I do need to add more content in the next month.
There were 5 backlinks counted last month and out of over 30 links there are now 11 links currently counted but I have some still in the system waiting to be approved. I had hoped this would be higher but I guess this takes time.
I am still ranking at position 2 and 3 for my exact match domain name which is fine, it did dip a little though still on the first page during this month but seems to have returned and will hopefully stay there.
As for my other rankings, so far I am still not ranking for my main keyword which is frustrating but I am starting to see rankings for related longtail variations of the keyword. Traffic wise I am not getting much at all, around 20 visitors from google but my bounce rate is about 42% which I guess means people are reading my site with an average of 2 to 3 page views per visitor.
Ok, Im not overwhelmed with the results so far, so I am really going to have to put in more effort next month but on to the money part, before you get excited, I added adsense recently, a bit early but I was curious about the low bounce rate and wanted to see if I would get related ads and if anyone would click them.
The original cpc of my keyword is $16 and considering Im not ranking for anything at the moment, I wasnt expecting anything, I got one click this month for a grand total of one euro.
Cost wise, I already have reseller hosting with hostgator so there was no additional cost for hosting my site, I got my domain name from Go Daddy, I can’t remember the exact price now but it was around $15 I think. Im writing all the content for the site and postrunner so thats not costing me anything, I may consider outsourcing when I get really fed up of the subject but for now I will keep writing my own content.

Ok, I did nothing productive with this site this month, (which means, I spent a lot of time fiddling with the code and making it look better and no time making links) I should have but I really didn’t get time, last month it had dropped ranking for the exact match domain to 13th position but had 105 pages indexed, this month it has gone back up to 1st but has only 77 pages indexed in google, I’m going to have to work a lot harder on this site next month.
For now that’s it, Ill update during the month, I didn’t last month and I slacked a bit so I will this month, I’m looking forward to seeing how everyone else’s sites are doing in the experiment.
